The reason

I have had many people ask me, "How did you get started?"
My answer will forever and always remain the same: "Lilah."
I had always had a LOVE of taking pictures. Over the years, my hobby became a passion, but it wasn't until Lilah that I even had any courage to attempt a dream.
That dream became a reality when Lilah was denied disability. Her medical expenses were escalating and our funds remained the same. We cut back, made changes, but we were still struggling to make it work.
A few friends asked me to take photos for them, so I did. I didn't really think much about it until they said, "You should do this."
After praying and researching, I decided to take a leap of faith to help our family.
I will admit that I am not the "best" photographer. I know I have more to learn than I could even comprehend. I know that after years of practice and more years, I will still have lessons in photography to learn.
But...I do this for her. I do this for my family. I do this because, besides being a Mother, this is the only talent that God gave me. I have seen comments made stating that certain photographers, like me, aren't "real" photographers.
Well...maybe not by certain standards. But, inside, I am as real as it gets. I strive to give my clients what they want...not what others deem correct. I work hard for my family and my clients.
We all have to start somewhere....

I started because of her.
